ESC is certified to provide security measures on board Cyprus ships 22.10.2013
As of 18th of October 2013, ESC complies with the requirements of The Protection of Cyprus Ships Against Acts of Piracy and Other Unlawful Acts Law of 2012.
As a result and subject to compliance with the provisions of the Law, ESC Global Security is now allowed to implement additional security measures on board Cyprus ships.
ESC is allowed:
- to embark on, transport by and disembark from Cyprus ships the private ship security guards;
- to load, transport by, and unload from Cyprus ships the firearms and special security equipment;
- to permit the private ship security guards to use firearms and special security equipment when Cyprus ships are transiting high-risk areas.
