Catlin Insurance has accepted ESC Global Security as an approved armed guard company.
To become an approved service provider, all maritime armed security companies must fully comply with the regulations of the countries in which they operate and of which they are nationals. It is highly recommended that companies are signatories to ICoC, have ISO 9001 accreditation and are members of SAMI and SCEG. Proof of purchase of suitable high velocity weapons and other restricted equipment from a legitimate, legal source is also required. Weapons should not be rented. Rules for the Use of Force must be clear and comply with International Maritime Law and flag state requirements.
